Well at least you are keeping the old habits pretty much current.............carving a prop out of a 2x4 is not dissimilar to carving a V12 out of aluminium welding rods, imho. |

It's amazing how the word "Dangerous", never crossed out minds..I have had my share of youthful questionable projects. Funny how after we became parents the word crosses out minds a lot! |

I'm not surprised to hear that! How did you make the plastic canopy? |

On the side I made the skirt using a hot glue gun to melt the glue into the plastic (and my fingers as I recall) and it was rolled at the bottom with a rope for strength. The first prop was carved from a 2x4 but hasn't quite enough so I carved another to get a 4 blade but it was too much...the final solution was a radiator fan my father had pulled off and replaced with a flex fan on the car. The things we remember..... |

This is really awesome! How I wish I did things like that. When I was a kid I always thought I'm a really good chef, making all sorts of experiments in cooking, some were awful and there are recipes that turned out fine. Sorry for being so nostalgic. |
