Nice house!

Sorry about the lack of updates but literally nothing is happening as even the house projects are stalled waiting on decisions that just don't come. I think I'm installing a window this weekend to get that off my list but I've thought that the last few weekends so.....

Stumbled on a little write-up on engine swap depot today while killing:

A lot of finish work to do but there is a window the same height as others on the wall which appeases my OCD. Today I'll trim out the inside and see how that looks.

That window got rejected for excessively wide trim between door and window so taller door is on the way to replace both is on the way. Also refinish the floor is back on the top of the list so the whole door thing is a lose-lose as its delaying the floor.

There is some car news that could be taken as good. Yesterday my older son asked what still needs to be done and if he could help so that's good news. The bad news is 2 fold. First I started this project about 6 months after he was born and he's now 16 so the project is about to turn 16years old...which leads to the 2nd piece, he has a learners permit and all of a sudden wants to help get the ferrari running :o

I completely get where he's coming from and I don't even like the idea of saying no but this whole idea has me a little scared. With the honey-do list I have this won't make noise again until at least fall so maybe I can find something else with a clutch to teach him on because I'm about certain this is the wrong car to be learning on.

I wouldn't hesitate to say no. "You get the same deal as everyone else - you can drive a V12 308 once you've built a V12 308" then sign him up for a summer job at a foundry, because you really need some in-house casting expertise for the kinda stuff you guys get into!
