The USB repeater cable showed up last night so now I'm just waiting in the wire order to be able to finish the harness....I think. Hopefully everything arrives today because we'll be buried in snow tomorrow and I'll lose the weekend. Well, there are little things I can still do but I really want to get the ECU hooked up.

Speaking of the ECU, I started adding some color to display to make it a little easier to read. They allow 30 different 3 tone pallets to be created and you can assign any display item to any of the pallets. It's kind of nice....for now I'll probably just use 2, a colored one for tables and graphs and black and white for text items but I may switch to different pallets for say VE, spark, lambda tables so I know what I'm looking at with just a glance....or maybe I won't.

I did change the VE table to be MAP vs RPM instead of Load vs RPM as I originally had it and lambda target, spark and injection timing still are. This should make it all work better I think as mass air flow is now calculated based only on what's in manifold and getting into the engine but mixture and spark will track load which is what the driver is asking for, power or economy. I may still need to add a barometric correction to VE but it's normally under 2% I think in worst case and probably not worth messing with.

I decided I really needed to take some time to mount the ECU, relays and fuses before preceding. It looks like everything fits in the trunk panel where the original spark controllers were located. The panel looked pretty bad though with rust, pealing paint and lots of extra holes left from the original stuff plus 2 different haltechs I had in there so I took some time to clean it up and got in all kinds of trouble for spraying it inside when I couldn't do it outside.

Back to wires while it dries.....slowly in the cold garage where it was evicted to.

You're going to need a 12 cylinder snow blower for that!

I everybody gets lucky sometime I guess

I finished taping up my wires tonight and started putting on the sleeving.....and quickly realized I don't have big enough material. I'll order tomorrow morning....but I may be working on non-critical stuff this weekend :(

This morning I think I ordered everything I needs to finish this stupid wiring harness....I hopefully I didn't miss anything and hopefully it arrives tomorrow. I also order a bunch of start washers instead of hoping the hardware store has them and loop-claps/P-clamps to secure stuff like the battery cables, oil lines, wire harness around the engine bay.

So many little things keep jumping in the way of me actually frikin finishing this thing........
