Hello,
How did you jig the fuel rail to make the cut for throttle clearance?
What tap size are the end ports?
Lastly, are NPT 3/8s the same pitch as AN 6?
Thanks,rege

only thing wrong is throttle clearance on wrong side.
I only have a small grizzly mill,
I want to try to match your notch.
Thanks,rege

It's symetric isn't it so why do you need to flip it?

an AN-6 is a 9/16-18 thread and wants a 33/64 tap drill
a 3/8 NPT is an 18 pitch but about .675 OD and wants a 37/64 tap drill

So yes the pitch it the same n NPT is bigger. I've had a lot of trouble withNPT in aluminum galling so I rarely do that these days and I assemble the AN stuff with never-seize on the threads.

I don't recall how i cut the notch but looking at the pic it appears I just clamped it in the vise the milled it using the side of the cutter...probably a 1/2 or 3/4 cutter but you'll need to mearure the radius to know for sure.

OK,
pic 1 is rail reversed, flush fit rail to manifold
pic 2 shows rail flush fit to manifold ,,rail reversed
pic 3 proves rail is not symmetric, the bottom of the rail machine is offset.
your mistake was throttle clearance cut on opposite end,
my mistake, swappin back and forth with 6AN on one end and NPT 3/8 on the other.
Ive had a quite a time getting the gas fittings correct.
I almost got it correct.
Thanks,rege

Reg,
The machined pattern on the rail is symetric, the injectors are 94mm apart, there's a bolt hole next to the 2 end ones.

I think I cut 1 end shorter to clear a boss on the valve covers, do you need the other end cut shorter too? Or both cut shorter? The fittings that were supposed to be used were a 45 or 90 o-ring type, they are very short and should have tucked right in....but if you tell me what you need its no problem to change it as long as it doesn't run into the injector boss in the rail.

I don't see o ring AN in my summit rag?
The holes that sit over the injectors are off set so it fits perfect but throttle clearance relief is 180 out
When I final tighten the elbow on dist end it stripped.
I cant measure the difference between a 3/8 NPT and AN 6 Earls straight,I have both?
the NPT elbow sinks deeper
stripped,but I tighten big time
mk e efi conversion is Factory Quality,i have virgin set of manifolds and might want to offer a ready to go set w/ fittings and hoses

I really want your latest cam sensor set up.
please
I try to fix the rail myself,
Thank You Sir

Thank You for your work and

Something like this is what I thought you'd use:
http://www.jegs.com/i/Earl's/361/AT9490 ... oCHf7w_wcB

I cut a pocket in the end of the rail to seal the o-ring.

Pipe threads I have terrible luck with...galling, stripping, leaking, Ijust don't use them on fuel and rarely anywhere else.

Thank You for your work and

so im back to square 1,have no correct fittings and compromised threads on all 4 corners w/npt
which are way too short
even AN 6 fittings don't tighten correctly
I guess you assumed I knew a spec I didn't compute.
The recess is very cool as I inspect the detail

hmmmm....it's not going to work without fittings the seal. There MIGHT be room to cut an -8 fitting on it but I doubt it.

We could cut off the ends and weld on new AN-6 bungs, that would be quick and easy and we could give you male or female. If you want to do this send me the rails and bungs you want installed and marked what goes where and I'll put them on for you. We can install it on an angle too if that help....fit it or send a pic showing how you want it to look/point and put it there.

The only other option is to remake them. After the firs I don't know where anyhting is so I'd need the originals to measure/copy.
