So I finished the new tin work and have it all painted. I went with wrinkle black for the fan intake. I think it came out nice. It is now home and in the chassis. I need a little more time to get it fired up. I have to find the rotor button too. I need oil and a filter, & fresh 93 octane gas. The old 87 is in the lawn mower now.
I also installed the site glass oil level checker.

This is a picture before the engine rebuild. The car looks the same now. Just a bigger engine.

Last night oil and filter was installed. Spun it over plug free and had oil pressure. Tested for spark, check. Now I need to paint the repaired header and put it on. One side is on now. I need to go get some 93 octane gas and put that in and fire it up and see what happens.

Wednesday night I was able to spin the engine without plugs and get some oil pressure. I had the spark plugs in the wires and tested for spark. Spark was strong. Thursday night I stopped and bought 5 gallons of 93 octane fuel. Poured that in and turned the pump on. Carbs filled and I spun it over and it tried to start. I ran out of rotation with the distributor and had to pull the drive and move it a tooth. It then fired right up. I have good oil pressure and it is very responsive. Very happy so far. I have one pipe plug seeping oil and I need to address that. The throttle cable on the car is sticking, need to pull it out and clean and lube it. I will try and post a link to a video. Over all I am very happy with the results so far. Need to get an alternator. The other one was put on the wife's C10 when it needed one.

Well, I took it for a drive. Found the oil pressure comes down to a reasonable number with temp. It idles and drives really well. If I get on it and it pulls pass 3200, it really starts to growl and then the RPM climbs but there is less forward motion. the clutch is not gonna hold it. I need a Kennedy Stage 1 kit. Now I just need to find $260. Maybe a GoFundMe. Or my beloved followers could just send the money. Oh wait, I don't have that kind of follower. Anyone following what I do is just a s broke and for the same reason. :D   8-)
