Try to arrange financing through your own bank or credit union before you go to any lots. Always a good negotiating point since they usually make money on the financing.
I brought cash and was prepared to pay the advertised price so there should have been nothing to talk about.......but it turns out the price only applied if you were financing thought them, so next was "Ok then , I'd like to finance $1"
....followed by, "the price only applies if you are 100% financing through us"
Followed by me filing an AG complaint as the ad clearly said all prices cash which is why I brought cash so there would be confusion that I had complied with the terms. The car was about 3 grand under going price so I expected it to be beat up or come with a story of some kind but it was pretty good......until the new cash price was 74% higher than the advertised cash price and 3-4 grand over the going rate. Live and learn.....there is nothing worth driving to Brooklyn for

I looked at a nice one at an auction last night....but just could bring myself to bid quite high enough to bring it home. Another auction on Monday, hopefully this will be the one!
