Essentially none.
Static and thermal pressure are far far greater than the pressure that the pump creates.

However, high static pressures for testing will find more leaks.

They deadhead around 30 psi from what I've read for the pump I have...so 45psi is expected in the block with non-recirculating t'stat, maybe 35-40 I'm my setup if I was running water but i have about a 5psi cap (I cut the spring so not sure) so 35 tops.

I am thinking of a return to water not sure.

not sure why water at 15 psi is better than air at 30 psi -but they have the experience .The Ferrari guideline seems quite aggressive but it would verify a good seal .
I thought ( perhaps incorrectly ) that the aviation cement would solve the water port leaks -there is significant gasket material around the holes -old gaskets verify it was being crushed and add the aviation cement they should not leak .But coolant is getting in ....In my mind I had separated the water ports and the cylinder crush rings as different issues .
You had previously verified that the liners had about the same stickout .The old gaskets crush rings all measure about the same which would seem to confirm they are sealing .
It would seem that there are three ways for coolant to get to the cylinder -under the head gasket -over the head gasket or from the head itself .

Looks like two candidates head cupping or head itself

Air will leak pretty near anywhere so it failed that test, it was leaking. Finding a small air leak is pretty frikin hard so the coolant test was to look for the leak but it didn't leak.

Anyway, the day is done and the engine is out

Would it be easier with an engine leveler?

I have one, but its more trouble than its worth. Sadly I pretty much know the right angle at this point :(

The rear drops onto its mounts and then the front rolls into place....the key with this beast is a little side to side angle with the right side up about 3-4"so the crank comes out before the drop-gear case....level side to side is impossible. Its got to be the way its got to be. and I use all the height the lift has in it.

I was thinking it has copper head gaskets in it now.
What does it currently have? What are the used ones you took out and are measuring?

Shame you couldn't run it longer to get some heat in it and then plane the head and the block. It would be a real pain but maybe O-rings? That would help for when you add the blower :)

No copper was a new plan that I'm leaning toward retreating from

Right now its got the composites, just like in the picture. I suspect the sealant will tear them apart when I pull it apart but the numbers I was giving are from the last set, flame rings at 057, most of the rest at 055, the ends 053/054, around the bolts about 054+

Ah, ok. Are those made to order gaskets, or some actual Ferrari application?

Custom, nothing ferrari will fit. That was what the drawing I was talking about was from...I draw it 10+ years ago and couldn't find the efile, just the hard copy.
