Might you get there with a dipstick oil heater and some kind of oil priming setup?

Borrow the heat from heater and pump from your floor heating. Just two tubes to connect instead of radiator needed.
Perhaps use water pump on block, just to find out if leak is from liquid dynamic inside head or block.

I went to the parts store to grab a battery for the mower and the copper spray the website said they had, but when I couldn't find it and asked the counter guy told me he sent it to a shop earlier this morning....we'll call that a sign from Enzo (god of hp) and go with the aviation stuff again I guess.

Is it possible that the surfaces are too smooth for the composite gasket to bite ? Googling head gasket materials and surface roughness has some interesting reads .

Thinking about this further - I believe that a man of your talents could put together a heating element that threads into the oil drain plug. Then use whatever mechanism makes sense to run the oil pump with a drill to circulate that hot oil for as long as you want. Would let you get the engine up to temp from the inside out while leaving the coolant out.

I might need 2 but I have a smaller one so I might be able to just switch them side to side a couple times and get it where it needs to go.

I worked on a kitchen cabinet all day yesterday. Honey bunny got a great seal on a fridge that was too tall for the space and I just couldn't find a cabinet shop willing to try and cut down the 24" tall cabinet to 12". It took all day yesterday and into this morning but came out pretty good. I'm guessing now I need to hang it

Was that a custom cabinet, so you couldn't just go buy one?

Not custom but the both the style and color are discontinued, the manufacturer was the first call I made

That is for sure the safest and most controlled way to do it but I'd like to:
1) NOT put water in it until I know its sealed and
2) Not spend the money or time to build a water heating setup
