Shouldn't of used the graphite spray inside the shop, the shit is everywhere and I'd prefer not to pointed to the pressure washer everyweekend so a little clean up this morning

The weekend ended with me a long way from where I'd hoped to be but that's life I guess. Just ordered what I now believe to be the correct orings which should arrive Tuesday. Don't recall posting but i bought distilled water and green coolant and the oil&filters arrived Friday. If I can get my butt out to the shop evenings I should be in good shape for a noisy weekend.

The timing cover is always a bugger and this time I also had to add a helicoil on the tensioner but it's on

The cams are timed. The plan is tomorrow the cam covers and intake go on, then Friday it goes back in the car.

I also checked heads nuts and a few did move a little. I checked them before I putvthe cams in I think it was, they moved a little then too...which is why it's not optimal to put sealant on head gaskets I guess.

I wasted a whole lot more time on the cam covers than I planned but they are on. Not sure I have enough 518 sealant for the intake...I'll have to see if the local places have it to continue tomorrow.

Honestly I'm not even sure I want to put the engine back in, it looks so pretty sitting on the bench and some work popped up this morning so it will sit a bit longer than planned

It does look amazing. You know, you could find a local photographer via something like Craigslist. A "mini session" of about 30 minutes is usually $150-300, and you could get a couple of nice, high-res photos with the composition and lighting done well. If all goes well, it won't be this this ready for glamor shots ever again.
