I got to congratulate you Mark on doing this on your own. I know it's a task to drop a 308 motor but your dropping a v12 engine all by your self. I tip my pizza cap to you.

Excellent
That is so tight ,that I am almost convinced you used vaseline to get it to fit.
I was really missing Erik who used to live about 10 minutes away and would pop over to help from time to time, plus I really tweaked my back badly yesterday morning playing with the kids so this was quite a slow motion operation

Man oh man that engine is huge! Funny once you get in there, it just disappears.
That's exactly what I was thinking and the pictures just don't do it justice....hanging over the car you just look and say "no f-in way!" then once it's in you're left with a very different impression as it just blends in and as you say disappears. I can put my front headers in with the engine in place. I can reach the alternator. There seems to be as much or more room to do most stuff than before.....other than changing a clutch or setting lifter clearance that is, those are now engine out jobs.
Things will start to get tighter as I add the rest of the parts and that's what I was pondering a bit. The front exhaust needs to wrap over the bellhousing and follow it back down on the rear to tuck under the rear headers. The farther to the side the better because I need to put cooling lines in there too but I really don't think putting the exhaust along side the gas tank is a great plan.
I originally planed the exhaust to be 3" but that is only good to about 800hp so I really think I need 3.5" to get everything that is there to be had....so I need to buy new pipes before I can do much fitting.
Lots to think about......
