Good going Mark . What about putting the oil tank and header tank in the boot !!! But keeping the zip cover in place ? Stock look and you can keep the QV filter housings ? Not sure about the levels though ? Some big milestones have been reach lately , great progress .

I thinking in the boot is a good fall-back position. I'd like to try to keep it open...but the space is just sitting there......

I'm going to move forward with the exhaust and cool lines then see what I have left I guess.

Do you need a breather or PCV with the dry sump system?

Can the dry sump pump pull crank case pressure down below ambient and help out your BMEP a little bit?

i was wondering the same thing. I know with a real race drysump it would pull a vacuum in the case but I'm not so sure about the 2stage factory system which most class as "remote sump" vs true dry sump.

I need to do a little more research I think.

I did a little more reading and....I'm pretty sure I'll need a breather. on the V8s they want at least 3 and preferably 4 return pumps before they seal the engine. I have 12 pistons to leak and only 2 pumps so......once I know where the oil tank is going I'll decide where to add the breathers.

Mark,
Glad to see you dropping the engine in.
Last time I checked, (a few years ago), It didn't look like you were going to do much on the car for a while.
This is quite exciting.

This has just been WAY too big a project to stay on it non-stop...but this should be the final push.
