if you're looking for aesthetic comments, I think the conjoined duals look great. They play to the "evil twin" idea in that they sort of look stock but with something not quite right. I like your mock-up much better than an oval.

Can you not convert the ends to an oval pipe?
That silencer combo looks good.

Yes......that was the original plan back when it was 3" exhaust and I have 3"round to ovals sitting here. The problem was they looked lost in the cover opening. A 3.5 oval would be a little better guess. Also I'd like to stick with the original quad tip look....I could do 4x2.5 tips which would be the closest to stock looking but that means a collector of some kind to let the 3" muffler flow into both tips.

Yes use stock tips, keep her a sleeper.

That's kind of where my thoughts were leaning......I may finish a tip and see how it cleans up and then decide.

I wish I knew that!... I'd have posted one a long time ago. I used FOUR of those and less than 36" of straight pipe in the Fiero's exhaust, which is duals with an X-pipe.

It's just a cheap way to buy bends. You slice out the degrees you need and weld it into the system. I had 4" and 6" radius stuff but used up the 4" last night. The doughnuts are a 3" radius bend and while it makes fitting stuff easier it's pretty tight for flow.....I think it'll be ok though for what I need to do.

How did you manage and x-pipe with a transverse engine? Way back when burns did the exhaust design for me they said an x would help a little but not to worry if i couldn't do it in the transverse layout....so that came off the list almost instantly once I looked at what I was dealing with space wise.
