The muffler is done except the final tip clean up. I had planned to just weld the rear collector to the muffler....then learned there was no way to remove the muffler once I'd tacked the collector up

Had to add another coupling....

On to O2 bungs

The bungs are going pretty quick.....I got 4 done. I think the sensors in the pipes will look fine, but I do have caps so the sensors can be removed.

You're going to have to take some glamour shots of the entire exhaust system out of the car when you get it to the point that it will all bolt together.

What's supporting the weight of the mufflers?

You're going to have 12 o2 sensors??

My thought is to put WBO2 in the collectors for normal mixture tuning and normal use. Then WAY less expensive NBO2 ($25 each on amazon) in the pipes that I'll use for checking cylinder to cylinder mixture at or near stoich to make sure everything's matched and also since they react in a msec or so it should be possible to see any cycle to cycle variation if it exists at any mixture (but not measure actual mixtures away from stoich). I've never tried this before but I thing it will give some interesting data....the AEM/enginelab ECU logs at 1000hz (as does the M150 motec I;ve have in case the enginelab doesn't work the way I think it should) which will give me at least a couple readings per cycle even at redline.....and if the data is not what I expect I have caps for the bung holes and I'll go back to just 2 sensors :)

It all plugs together at this point....I'm going to put springs on the joints I think and see how that works to hold ot together but still let everything flex as the engine bounces around.

The mufflers have arms that allow them to hang from the OEM muffler brackets.....so it's a bolt-on mod :)

Geez, and here I am just running 1 LC-1 O2 sensor.

1 is enough and all you need on a single exhaust car. 2 lets you see a more complete picture when you have dual exhaust and my primary indicator will be using a pair of the newer LC-2 sensors/controllers. The extra 12 is mostly just because I can

One thing I do want to play with is the AEM hardware has a pair WBO2 sensor controllers build in...but I'm not sure exactly how to make them work. Once I get the engine tuned a on the LC-2 sensors and I have the 2 banks matching pretty well I'm thinking I'll swap 1 bank to the internal controller and see if I can get it working and matching the LC-2 in the other bank....or maybe once the system is working I'll just leave it alone.

I hope AEM have refined the circuits for their WBO2 controllers. I was not that impressed with their accuracy or stability in the past. I used their 2 channel standalone unit on the engine dyno for the supercharged V8's and it was constantly drifting. I never did do a thorough diagnostic to see if it was heat or voltage related, but it definitely drifted. Seemed to be the way of most WBO2 controllers from years ago.
