Yep, you cant get away from that yard work. Im hoping i can finally finish the front suspension.
Those new bushing i have sitting around will dry up by the time i install them. :oops:

I broke away from yard work a bit today and started making the fixtures for leak testing the heads. I got the machining done...which made lots of chips.

Next they'll get some 1/8" rubber stuck to them and that should do it. I also need a piece for the coolant outlet but that will be quick then I'm ready find the leaks.

These plates should bolt to the bock too so once the first head is back on I can pressure test and be sure the head gasket is sealed before moving on the second head....no more surprises.

Yeah, doesn't she know WE need him to get back to it! ... engine isn't going to build itself :lol:

Or he's playing with the kids, I've been known to slag off work for a nerf battle or two... that's always an acceptable reason to not work :D

I still don't have the valves so I would have been stalled anyway. I shot an email to find out where they are and should be getting back to coolant leaks very soon.

It wasn't that successful in the 80's, but apparently the big buck budgets and wizard engineers of the F1 circus have gotten it to work.
