I don't know if this helps, but the Speed Academy guys really like these hardened rubber bushings for street-driven vehicles. They're stiffer than OEM rubber, but have more compliance than poly or spherical joints:

In the rear, the top arm has turn buckle on both legs but the bottom only has one turn buckle on the rear side for toe adjustment. Top is for camber and rear is for toe. That is the way it was set up for the car we raced. I don't have pictures. Sorry.

I don't think you are over worried. It needs to be addressed if you change how it mounts and it is no longer flexy rubber.

I had a speedster kit car years ago. It was a custom chassis with rod ends all around and drove nice. Since then I've ready questioned what I thought I knew about the need for and value of rubber bushings. Motorcycles are fine without them. The FSAE car we built in college was fine without them. I suspect its something like on a 4 hour drive I would miss rubber bushes but not so much on a 20 minute jaunt....or maybe its about noise control and my loud engines have always hidden that from me? A buddy of mine has bronze bushes a 308 and didn't report anything bad.....I'm thinking it will be fine but may bugger my shock damping rates. I'll know soon I guess

Then knocked out the old bushings

Then spent WAY more time bead blasting than I planned

but 1 bearing fits, 15 to go (I'll make all 16 adapters while I'm at it so they are ready for the front too). Then I'll need some spacers so everything fits right.

I'm having a personal crisis.....I REALLY want to paint something yellow.....I know its wrong, but I also know in my heart the car will be faster if something gets painted yellow.
