Hi Mark,
could you just hang the headers on and take a photo before you put the engine in the car.
We won't be able to see them in all their glory in the car :D
Thanks
Nick

I'll try to take a couple pics for you tonight. I have these to tide you over:

Wow Mark- what a thing of beauty! You are truly an artist of unparallelled levels in so many areas.

I miss being PA homed and being able to pop-in to pretend to help.

It turns out there is a TON of little stuff I've been forgetting.

Tonight I set the left gas tank in place...wait a bunch of now useless hoses to remover first (intercooler, power brakes, AC). Ok tank in place but I can't bolt it until wires are done that go behind it.

On to he right tank needs ....wait, it needs to be painted after the welding.

On to the motor mounts.....which needs to be painted.

Way back I decided I didn't like what I did on 1 bend on 1 tube of the front header and I cut it out...but I never fixed it.

When I do finally finish though.....I guess I'll sit back and watch you build unfold :)

I have a cheap powder coating gun and a small convection oven suitible for motor mounts, brake calipers etc. You are welcome to come down and coat some parts. I have a few different powders colors to chose as well as a chrome and high gloss and flat black. The powder can be messy so I try to setup outside so a calm day with little to no wind is prefered. Only takes a minute or two to spray on the powder then bring them inside for the oven.

Don't forget to put some kind of heat shield on the starter.

hmmm...maybe...it's not as close as it might look.

What I did forget is a crankcase breather..... it'll be sealed up tight on the path I've been. I forgot all about this. The breather fittings on the TR cam covers where in a bad place and I removed them but never added new one

Thanks Kevin. I do want to powder coat the mounts and probably a few other things....but I think for right now to stay on track for a spring run I'm just going to do a quick cleanup, spray can tonight, and move on tomorrow. Next winter though I want to pull the suspension and probably a bunch of other stuff like the motor mounts for proper finishing. I need to paint the whole rest of the car too but I'm not sure if that will be next winter or the year after...it depends on how much re-work the engine ends up needing I guess. This car still needs so much work to get it to where I'd like it to be.....
