Shook of the lazy and got the gaskets and new seals for the shift shift ordered....hopefully that will solve the oil puddle on the floor. It seems to be holding 2-3 quarts in the sump rather than pumping it all back to the tank as I'd hoped....I guess its down where I placed the outlets for the returns and maybe pump height. But if needing a working seal on the shifter just like stock is the worst of the oiling problems I'll call it a win I suppose.

How did you determine the oil in the sump? All the racecars I've been around let oil back into the sump when you let them sit a while. If you shut the engine off and pulled the drain plug not much came out but if you let the car sit a day or two and then pulled the drain plug a fair bit came out of the sump.

There is some of that I'm sure but it wasn't days and I did check the level in the tank before draining so that oil was still there. its oil 2-3 quarts in the sump though and as I say, it seems to be related to how I fit lines and such so I'm not too concerned

Didn't do shit this weekend but stare at the TV is disbelief.....

Lana's Ukrainian, right? Does she still have any family there?

Ukraine has stunned the world by demonstrating complete control of the global supply of a newly discovered renewable resource called "Go fuck yourself!".

The stories are pretty wild... The Ghost of Kyiv, Russian soldiers trying to score on Tinder, breweries switching over to bottling Molotov cocktails, "Keep these seeds in your pocket so flowers can grow when you die", "I need ammunition, not a ride!"... Hell of a show and apparently a hell of a lot tougher fight than Putin bargained for.

She is and the family answer is sort of. Her immediate family is in Crimea so they were taken in 2014 and well behind the lines this time.....there is no legal way to travel between the US and Crimea so we've not seen them since then but they are safe. Her extended family is mostly in Kyiv, she's not close to them but it certainly is weighting on her mind.

Molotov sure sounds Russian so this made me look up where Molotov cocktail got its name.....The Soviets were bombing the Fins while the propaganda minister, Molotov was saying they where delivering food. The Fins called the Bomb Molotov Bread baskets, and the figured he'd like a cocktail to go with it.....so its quite fitting.

I saw another one with all the roads relabled as heading to Hague, I thought that was pretty funny.

Once that was done I did a quick check on the engine

Looks good.....wait a minute....its upside down, DOH!

after pondering a bit I decided I can swap the brackets front to back and flip them upside down and get a reasonably good outcome.  but the puts the mount on the top so I figured I should have all 4 bolts, which meant cutting ans welding a bit to move a support

But now it looks pretty good, I just need to make a spacer to go under as it should be touching the blocks siting under it.
